On first listen it's really great. I'm really in awe of Kendrick Lamar's ability to take something as charged and personal as working through thoughts and experiences of toxic masculinity and learned abusive behavior, and give it the nuance that that topic really deserves. It's a very challenging album due to the topic, but the quest for finding love in the people around you and in oneself, healing, and stopping inter-generational trauma is beautiful.
