"no one wants work" is a total fabrication meant to disenfranchise workers

Capitalists are trying to make the case that workers need to face austerity measures so that "small businesses" can attract workers. This argument even taken at face value is a lie.
Unemployment before the pandemic was about 3.5%. It the peak of pandemic it reached 14.8%. It is currently 5.8%. The remaining 2% difference is mostly mothers who can't get child care as indicated by the loss of women in the workforce.

For families with a spouse present, the unemployment rate is only about 3.5%.

It's also important to note that the economy is only 80% reopened in the US. If we consider the worst of the pandemic as "0% open", the the percentage the unemployment has returned to normal is 91.5%.

So, it's just total bullshit that "people don't want to work". No, capitalists just want to exploit workers, and get handouts for themselves instead of their employees.
